Jolliffes’ Divorce & Family Law team continues to grow

Jolliffes’ Family Law department welcomes Sam Ishaq-Forsyth as part of the team.

Marie Proud, Head of the Family Law said “Sam’s timing on joining the firm couldn’t be better. This is an exciting time of change for Jolliffes and, specifically, our Family Law team. Sam is enthusiastic about her work and keen to make a difference.”

Sam, who has previously worked at other local law firms, dealing with various aspects of Family Law said:

“I am looking forward to working with the team at Jolliffes.  I believe that a new start should scare you a little and excite you a lot!  The previous divorce process had been in place since before I was born, I now look forward to taking clients through the new process of divorce and dealing with any associated matters related to a breakdown of a relationship.”

An exciting change to Family Law came into force on 6 April 2022, introducing “no-fault” divorce. These changes mean that the divorce process has been simplified and we are now dealing with uncontested divorces on a competitive fixed-fee basis. This means you will have peace of mind, and certainty, when considering the costs associated with separation, especially taking into account that it will also be necessary to consider other related matters, such as the children arrangements and financial settlement.
